4 thumbnail sketches project

I have chosen to do the Boardwalk background design on the bottom left for my project. I think the design adds an interesting background that is a realistic place you could find a ride like it. It allows me to use several elements of repetition and leading lines while not being too hard to design, and I could possibly try to use the ocean as a way not to show the end of my world. As I mentioned earlier I will use repetition of fences boardwalk boards and buildings on the side to and also leading lines with railings leading to the ride. I still need to decide if i'm doing day or night, but if night I will be sure to place colorful light outlining and on the ride. There will also be an abundance of horizontal lines with all of the boardwalk boards and the tops of the railings.

Camera Movements and Emotion

In films emotion can be conveyed in many ways, color, lighting, setting, but also through the movement of a camera. Filmmakers will intentionally move the camera in specific ways to give the viewer an idea of the feeling that the scene is conveying. Crane down: Filmmakers will mount the camera on a crane, lowering it from the crane gives the feeling of being thrown into a new scene and setting Crane up:A camera moving up on a crane gives shows us how small the character really is compared to his surroundings and obstacles he has to overcome. Crane High to Low: When a camera is taken from a very high to a very low camera angle it makes the character look strong and opposing and gives us a feeling of authority from the character. Handheld camera movement: Handheld movement is less smooth than movement on a crane and gives a feeling of unease and danger. Animation Basics Project Final Video

Timing and spacing are both very important elements in making a smooth realistic animation. Timing is based on how far you place keyframes away from each other and is important because this decides how fast you object will be moving at any given time. All natural objects will either speed up or slow down at some point so you must calculate this, many times with an example, to make the object seem like it is really interacting with its environment and following the laws of physics. Spacing is also a very important element in making animation because it is telling your object what to do when it gets near keyframes. Not all objects will move in a linear pattern they will speed up or slow down at certain points during its movement which you have to correct the spacing to implement. For example if something is slid across a table it will be going faster at the beginning and as it reaches its last keyframe slowing down to a stop.
