Investigation Blog Post 2
This Blog Post is about how I experimented with and created fire with Manta flow and how it took me way longer than it should have.
This was the first tutorial that I used It worked well for the first couple of minutes but for some reason I could not find my Bake data button. I looked it up and it was because it was Cache type replay and not type Modular. But for some reason even after I though I had followed everything correctly my animation just disappeared I could still see the domain moving with adaptive domain checked but no actual fire simulation I decided it was because the tutorial was in a different version and moved on to a more recent one.
his tutorial I followed for a while It is for making a flame thrower but he claims that the same methods could be used for anything with fire. In the end I could not get it to look exactly like I wanted it to for a torch even though I thought I was pretty close I do not think I would be able to load all of those particle systems for my torches but maybe for the pool of oil that I plan to ignite it could be a viable method.
Finally This tutorial was recommended to my by Zach who had recently experimented with fire and it was really truly helpful. It was long but It taught me about everything I needed to know about manta flow so it made everything easier and I now have something that I think looks pretty good overall. I still do have a problem with baking noise, because whenever I check noise and bake it my simulation disappears. I could put this into a website where you get advice about blender from people but I think based on what his looked like it is actually better without noise.
