I will admit that this week I saved the majority of my work on digital modeling for the weekend that we did not do on class time, this is because I had a good bit of other work to do over the week probably due to thanksgiving break coming so soon and I messed up because I ran into a problem and I was not able to get much work done.  first off I continued to create some of the final assets I needed for my temple which included the coffin that the sacrifice would be carried in, it took me a little while to finish the design on the top side of this but I eventually got it to look how I had envisioned. Next, I worked on some changes to the temple and all of my other assets to make sure they were scaled properly. I added the statue to the scene in a spot that I determined would be perfect for the destruction of the temple that I would animate later. Additionally, I needed something to hold the torch in place, my mom actually came up with the idea that I design torch holders to loo...

This week I worked on creating my temple that I had sketched last week I started by modifying a cube to be the top and extending a face to act as the front of my temple this was somewhat complicated because I needed to keep in mind the stairs and the unique shape I had planned. Next was very simple, I created the stairs with modified cubes precisely placed placed above each other. It was surprisingly hard for me to incorporate them into the temple I had already made I probably should have done the stairs first but I went with what I already had made  I revisited my torch design from the first weeks and made it much more simple so it would work in large numbers in my temple. I finished the body of my temple by extending and curving one side of the face that I had and duplicating that then symmetrizing the sides so both sides were the same and I thought it looked pretty nice. I next planned to create the fire pit's that I had drawn in the picture and it was very simple but I th...

The first thing that I did this week was map out exactly what I wanted my temple to look like because I thought it would be important for me to know that even before I watch the destruction video so I can have an idea as to what exactly I should do in my situation. My temple design took inspiration from this temple that the Aztec's actually used to sacrifice people. After that I knew this temple would have to be destructible and not wanting to make the same mistake that I made with fire and my torch I watched a video on the basics first. oh and on that note I need to ask you how to embed videos into my blog because I forgot from last year. ://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ogWQs_7DU0Y&t=918s this video made me realize that physics for the most part is not that hard but as you know I did have a problem with the cell fracture add-on not working properly which set me back a little bit, But I can always just work on my temple design next week. Here is the animation that I made with dest...

This week I also spent working an completing my statue sculpt, sorry I did not get too much done it was a busy week with my HACC history Midterm and English Speech and I really got caught up on some parts of fusing everything that took some time to fix Alright so the first thing I got done was Boolean modifying everything together and sculpting the joints to make it look clean. this part of the process was easy for the most part but I ran into a serious problem with the hands at the top where I just could not get them to look how I wanted which took me a large amount of time to fix but I think I got it to a place where I like how it looks. Next I added the bottom half of my sculpt, it is supposed to be kneeling while wearing a sort of robe/dress thing, the bottom half is not the most important but I still made sure it looked good and I did have a few problems with the joint to make it look like bending knees, I eventually just fused two objects for it and It looks good. I Cleaned ...
