This week I worked on more things that are necessary for my final animation and prepped my statue model for 3d printing.  I started by creating lightning because I remembered it would be important for my finale animation and I did not create it while experimenting with fire and destruction like I had planned. I followed this tutorial  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dblHLxyE7BU In the creation of the bolt shape I was required to use a lot of modifiers like I never had before I thought it was interesting that the order modifiers are listed in changes how they effect the mesh and the copying 3 displacement modifiers changed the effect that the displacement had but I was very happy with how it turned out.   the next thing that I attempted was moving my fire simulation which was in a different file to the file with my scene. I thought I could export this as a .dae but that just gave me a model. I tried looking it up and it said to export alembic but when I did that it o...

This week I wanted to make my scene look more complete so I added   the first thing I did was adding and texturing the wood to my fire-pit  This was basically the same process I usually go through for texturing things but this time I had to create my own sort of texture for the chopped end of the wood and I think I did a good job, I tried to find and eventually create a burnt look at well but I was unsuccessful and just stuck with normal bark I next created and textured the ground for my scene I followed the beginning of the tutorial  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FlNF4X2Koqw&t=267s  for this part. I like how it looks and I do not think the edges of the ground will be noticeable. I attempted to follow a tutorial and texture paint the ground to look less uniform and I followed a tutorial on texture mapping. from what I was able to see this would have looked really good but it caused blender to freeze when I actually attempted to do it on the scale tha...

This week I worked mainly on texturing the objects in my scene and adding a night sky, my idea is to get the scene completed including fire and maybe even submit the final scene of the temple being destroyed if I can finish it by the time we share our work. the first thing I did was just a little change to my statue because I thought it was hard to tell that its bottom half was supposed to be a robe of some kind and before it looked unfinished so I tryed to make it more like I had intended and I think it looks better now. Working with the brick texture for my temple was probably the hardest part of this whole thing although compared to things I have done in previous weeks it was not bad. I just had to apply the texture to some of the faces as separated objects to make their UV maps different sizes, it still looks a little weird at some spots but I think I have kept it so in the actual scene it will be hard to notice. I next worked on the stairs and everything that would be involve...
